Usage:

Protectomastic TIO Undercoating is formulated with epoxy resin and amine curing agents to deliver high-performance barrier protection in multi-coat protective systems. It is designed as an intermediate coat for use on suitably primed steel structures, pipelines, equipment, valves, and ducts exposed to severe industrial atmospheres. The coating offers excellent resistance to splash and spillage of acids, alkalis, solvents, and water, with continuous temperature resistance up to 90°C and intermittent resistance up to 120°C. It provides very good weatherability and flexibility when overcoated with epoxies or polyurethane finishes. Recommended dry film thickness is 100–125 µm per coat, giving a theoretical spreading rate of 6.7–8.4 m²/litre. It dries to touch in 2–3 hours, hard dries overnight, and has an overcoating interval from overnight up to one month.

Applications:

Ideally suited as an intermediate coat for steel structures, pipelines, and process equipment in refineries, chemical plants, marine facilities, and other industries with highly aggressive atmospheric conditions. It is recommended as part of multi-coat systems compliant with ISO 12944-C5 (Industrial/Marine) environments, ensuring durable long-term protection.
