Epilux 78 HBTL Food Grade Coating
A two-pack, high-build epoxy tank lining formulated with amine adduct, designed for long-term immersion service in aggressive environments. It provides excellent resistance to solvents, chemicals, and saline water, and is self-priming. The product is ideally suited for the storage of petroleum hydrocarbon cargos (including ATF) and potable water, with CFTRI, Mysore approval for potable water storage. Epilux 78 HBTL offers very good abrasion resistance and long-term durability in industrial and marine applications.

Usage:
Epilux 78 HBTL is recommended as a protective lining for tanks, pipelines, chemical plants, fertilizer plants, refineries, and petrochemical complexes. It is suitable for use on both mild steel and concrete substrates, providing excellent solvent resistance, chemical resistance, and saline water protection. The coating can withstand continuous temperatures up to 93°C and intermittent exposure up to 120°C. Recommended dry film thickness is 100–150 µm per coat, with a theoretical spreading rate of 3.7–5.5 m²/litre. It dries to touch in 2–3 hours, can be handled in 6–8 hours, hard dries overnight, and cures fully in 7 days. Overcoating can be done after overnight drying, with a maximum interval of 5 days.
Applications:
Recommended for use in fertilizer plants, refineries, petrochemical complexes, chemical plants, heavy industries, and potable water storage tanks. Its performance under immersion conditions makes it a reliable choice for aggressive chemical and saline service environments.
