Usage:
Intergard 475HS is designed to deliver durable barrier protection as part of anti-corrosive coating systems for offshore structures, petrochemical plants, pulp and paper mills, bridges, and industrial equipment. The MIO variant improves long-term overcoating and is especially useful for fabrication shop applications prior to shipment, with final overcoating on site. With volume solids of 80%, it achieves a dry film thickness of 100–200 µm per coat (equivalent to 125–250 µm WFT), with a spreading rate of approx. 6.4 m²/litre at 125 µm DFT. It dries to touch in 60–90 minutes, hard dries in 5–6 hours, and cures fully in 7 days at 25°C. Overcoating intervals range from 6 hours (minimum) to extended maximums depending on system choice. Pot life is 2–3 hours depending on temperature.
Applications:
Recommended for use in maintenance and new construction coating systems, particularly for offshore oil and gas facilities, bridges, refineries, and heavy industrial structures requiring long-term barrier protection. It should be overcoated with durable finishes from the Interfine or Interthane ranges where gloss and colour retention are required.
